International Research Network

We are the world's largest research network in economics comprising about 1,700 Fellows and 350 Affiliates from around 60 countries (see geography of the IZA network). IZA is acting as the heart of this ambitious network. We coordinate its actitivities and organize platforms for knowledge exchange. Our dual role as global network and local institute is the key driver behind IZA’s success.

The content hub of our network activities

Our research network activities are organized along eleven program areas covering a wide range of issues in labor economics from a global perspective. These range from education, family, environment and health to mobility, migration and development. In addition, the G²LM|LIC initiative analyzes growth and labor markets in low-income countries.
