Anne Ardila Brenøe

Anne Ardila Brenøe is a Research Associate at the Department of Economics, University of Zurich. Previously, she worked at the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA). She is affiliated with the Center for Economic Behavior and Inequality (CEBI) at the Department of Economics, University of Copenhagen, where she did her PhD. Moreover, she has a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Copenhagen and one in Economic Demography from Lund University. During her doctoral studies, she visited University of California, Santa Barbara as a visiting scholar.

Anne’s primary research interests are in applied microeconomics. In particular, she is interested in labor economics, economics of education, and child development. She is especially interested in how childhood conditions and experiences affect the accumulation of human capital. Her current research focuses on causes and consequences of gender differences in human capital formation.

Anne joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in June 2017.
